Soft Furnishing Sundries
Merrick & Day
Merrick & Day supply a huge range of soft furnishing sundries to retail and trade customers. Here you can buy the strong COATS TERKO THREAD that I use for the hand stitching roman blinds, curtains and lampshades. Merrick & Day is also where I source the tracks for roman blinds with the DELUX-3 ROTARY BLIND TRACK.
Foam For Home
Foam for Home is where I source the COTTON INDIA TAPE used for binding lampshade frames. Foam for home specialise in all things upholstery and offer prices for both retail and trade customers.
Lampshade Frames & Fittings
Dannells
Dannells is my go-to supplier for BOWED EMPIRE and FRENCH DRUM lampshade frames. They are very reasonably priced, especially if you buy 12 or more. Dannells specialise in all things to do with lampshade making supplies so well worth a few minutes exploring.
Homemaking Heaven
Homemaking Heaven great for creative shaped and period frames at reasonable prices. If you can’t find what you are looking for in a charity shop or car boot sale, this is the place to go. Here you’ll find the CAROUSEL, VIENNA and BALLERINA MERDINA with a Crown.
Premier Lampshades
If you can’t find the frame you are looking for at either Dannells or Homemaking Heaven then try, Premier Lampshades.
Vintage Light Bulb Company
The Vintage Light Bulb Company is an Aladdins cave for lamp base repair and refurbishment supplies. Oodles of lovely vintage fabric lighting cables to choose from.
Fabrics
Bernstien & Banleys
Bernstien & Banleys is where I source the light weight 100% COTTON LAWN for lining lampshades. My go-to lining for lampshades. I usually use Ivory for the workshops. I find it best to ring them directly to discuss options.
Vend Fabrics
Vend Fabrics is where I source the 100% cotton jersey fabric for simple balloon linings. I find it best to ring them directly to discuss options.
James Hare
With over 280 colours to choose from the James Hare ORISSA SILK collection this my go to for colour matching all soft furnishing contrasts, whether it be window treatment leading edges or bias for scatter cushions and lampshades.
Pongees
If you are looking for good quality silks and a helpful team at the end of the phone try Pongees. Even though the colour range at Pongees isn’t extensive the silks are beautiful so if you’re in a position to be flexible on colour do check them out.
Bennett Silks
Lovely small company with great quality silks, Bennett Silks. Limited selection on colours but great quality silks, so really worth checking their collection.
Trimmings
Troynorth
For the best in handmade top quality trimmings Troynorth certainly won’t disappoint. These beautiful trimmings lift all soft furnishings with that touch of gorgeous glamour. They’re expensive but worth it for something special and will sell trimmings to the half meter.
Barnett Lawson Trimmings
Fabulous supplier for gimp and fringing, with a great classic range of colours. FRINGING at varing lengths for just the right WOW factor. Matching GIMP. They also have a small selection of drop down beaded trims, worth checking out. Specially for JSInteriorUK students, Barnett Lawson Trimmings are offering a 15% discount on first orders with a personal code. The code for this is JSINTERIORSUK15.
VV Rouleaux
VV Rouleaux have a huge range of trimmings etc.. with an extensive range to suit all budgets.
