What will I Learn?
Wanting to learn how to use a sewing machine? Have a sewing machine but haven’t used it in ages? Then this workshop could be the one for you! Oodles of design options with 3 creative openings. No zip scatter cushions is suitable for the total beginner.
The main focus for this no zip scatter cushion workshop is to explore making scatter cushions using a variety of bespoke design openings/closings without zips. Fitting a hidden zip into a cushions can be tricky making this technique overwhelming for the beginner sewer. There are however, oodles of creative design options to make gorgeous cushions without a zip … the only limitation is your imagination.
This is a Level 1 cushion making workshop. Jacqueline has an array of samples for initial inspiration based on 3 specific techniques. Together with Jacqueline you will explore a number of ways to use your face fabric and trimmings before completing your first scatter cushion. Depending on your previous sewing experience and the designs you choose you may be able to complete a second cushion in one day.
Jacqueline teaches this workshop as 1-2-1, one day, or as part of the Scatter cushion master class.

Who will be teaching me?
Jacqueline is a creative, talented soft furnishings designer/creator, with over 20 years of teaching experience. Jacqueline is passionate about soft furnishings and has a wealth of knowledge that she is eager to share.
Is this workshop for me?
This is a Level 1 cushion making workshop. Only minimal machine and hand sewing experience is necessary to make this style of cushion. This workshop was designed with the beginner sewer in mind. Jacqueline will build and customise your experience in line with your ability and previous exerience.
Where will I be learning?
Most soft furnishing workshops either 1-2-1, and / or master classes are held in Jacqueline’s own workroom in Ebberston, North Yorks.
What's included?
Most cushion workshops held in Jacqueline’s workroom include one cushion pad specific workshop notes all specialist sundries, and a light lunch. You will need to bring your face fabric, matching threads and any additional trimmings you would like to use.
Ways to Learn
Jacqueline teaches all scatter cushion workshops 1-2-1. If you are new to sewing then Jacqueline recomends that you to start with a Level 1 No Zips! or Creative Cushion workshop before moving onto the Piped Cushion which is Level 2. Or prehapes a Master calss would suit you better. Please browse the options below.
