What will I Learn?
Cushions should not need to be an after thought, thrown onto a bed or couch. Far from it! Fabric and trimming remnants pulled together in creative ways offer oodles of beautiful design options. Scatter cushions, done right, embellish a space and bring a whole room scheme together. And, the Classic Piped Cushions is THE ultimate classic scatter cushion.
In this workshop you will learn all the dynamics of creating a classic piped cushion to a professional standard. Cutting fabric to maximise on pattern and detail, including pattern matching. Cutting and joining handmade piped bias trimming. Inserting a hidden zip within the piping and much, much more … If you can master the art of a classic piped cushion with a hidden zip to a professional standard all other styles of cushions will be a breeze.
This is a Level 2 cushions making workshop. Jacqueline has an array of samples for initial inspiration. Depending on your previous sewing experience and the designs you choose you may be able to complete a second cushion in one day.
Jacqueline teaches this workshop as 1-2-1, one day, or as part of the Scatter cushion master class.

Who will be teaching me?
Jacqueline is a creative, talented soft furnishings designer/creator, with over 20 years of teaching experience. Jacqueline is passionate about soft furnishings and has a wealth of knowledge that she is eager to share.
Is this workshop for me?
This is a Level 2 cushion making workshop. Machine sewing experience is necessary. If you are a beginner sewer Jacqueline recommends that you start with one of our Level 1 cushion making workshops. Either the No Zips or Creative cushions. Jacqueline will then be able to build and customise your experience in line with your ability and previous exerience.
Where will I be learning?
Most soft furnishing workshops either 1-2-1, and / or master classes are held in Jacqueline’s own workroom in Ebberston, North Yorks.
What's included?
Most cushion workshops held in Jacqueline’s workroom include one cushion pad specific workshop notes all specialist sundries, and a light lunch. You will need to bring your face fabric, matching threads and any additional trimmings you would like to use.
Ways to Learn
Jacqueline teaches all scatter cushion workshops 1-2-1. If you are new to sewing then Jacqueline recomends that you to start with a Level 1 No Zips! or Creative Cushion workshop before moving onto the Piped Cushion which is Level 2. Or prehapes a Master calss would suit you better. Please browse the options below.
